Description of the Abort() Behavior Modification
------------------------------------------------

In accordance with IPL sec. 3.3, this file describes the modification made
to Firebird to allow it to create crashdumps when abort() is called.

The modification makes changes to following files:

	src/common/classes/alloc.cpp
	src/intl/ldcommon.h
	src/jrd/err.cpp
	src/jrd/gdsassert.h
	src/jrd/isc_sync.cpp
	src/jrd/sch.cpp
	src/lock/lock.cpp

and adds a new file

	src/common/kerio/CrashAbort.h

The VC++ 7.1 CRT abort() function always shows a message box and calls
_exit(3), and its behavior cannot be customized.

The modification redefines abort() to create a new thread and abort it by
assigning to NULL. The modification allows us to collect Firebird
crashdumps.
